We’re Yas and Nick, a couple of dog nerds who believe that understanding your dog’s why is the key to changing the what. Nick’s the behaviour brain (and pro dog translator), Yas brings the creative chaos, and together we’ve built Bear Basics to help working breeds live fulfilled lives, in the real world, not just a training field.

We started this membership to give owners proper, no-fluff guidance. Not just "how to get your dog to sit nicely" but the real stuff: how to stop the garden looking like an archaeological dig, why your Spaniel’s doing laps around the house at 9pm, or what to do when your dog sees a squirrel and forgets you exist.
